Chris Zhongtian Yuan as part of Spatiality – a group exhibition exploring the quality or character of being spatial or related to space.

In Wild Acts: Act I the marionette becomes a stand-in for various figures: family, witnesses, and influences based on and abstracted from real life. The film is made up of a series of interconnected scenes featuring characterizations of the artist and his mother; people who have sighted the Yeti from Hubei (Yeren), as well as artists Andrea Fraser and Julie Becker. Each of them speak to co-dependency within relationships, whether biological, mythical, or artistic.

London based Chris Zhongtian Yuan graduated from the Architectural Association in 2019. Yuan approaches the medium of film through an architectural and musical language. His work has been exhibited internationally, at places such as Venice Architecture Biennale (2018), Whitechapel Gallery, London (2022) and Rotterdam International Film Festival (2023).
